Maintenance of Storage Sheds

| For long lasting finish, clean the exterior surface periodically. Touch up the scratches as soon as you see them on the surface. Keep the roof clean from leaves and snow but that too with a long handle brush with soft bristles. Heavy amount of snow on the roof makes it dangerous , it may fall off any time. Polish the doors regularly. Oil the hinges of the doors on regular basis. Keep the doors locked preventing any wind damage. Keep checking the screws, nuts, bolts of your buildings regularly and tighten them. Do not store products which can catch fire in the shed. |

| If your wooden shed is made up of cedar or pressure treated timber, you need not worry. But if it is not then your shed will require regular maintenance. The timber must be painted with a good quality wood stain every year, it prolongs the life of wood. All wood stain manufacturers offer a variety of choices in colors. It is not necessary to give any treatment to the cedar wood as it withstands severe climatic conditions. But if untreated cedar is used it may change it's color to silvery Grey with time. Regular oiling of door and window hinges is necessary for the smooth operation. |
